So, I just started watching MLP:FiM this week after months and months of nay (or should I say neigh)-saying and complaining that it wasn't MY MLP.  And, well, what can I say?  It's not, but I kinda like it.  I'll grant you, I still can't stand Spike.  His voice grates on me.  Nothing against the voice actor who provides the voice for him.  She does a great job.  She's just no Charlie Adler.  

But I do like the "mane" six.  The ponies in this series definitely have more personality than the G1 and G2 ponies I grew up with, with the exception of maybe those in the pilot episode of G1 (Rescue at Midnight Castle).

My favorite pony is Fluttershy.   I think this may have something to do with the fact she is the closest to resembling my generation's MLP with her soft voice and soft colors.  And Rainbow Dash is a lot of fun, too.  She's the exact opposite of the ponies I grew up with.
